Virginia GardinerCHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICEr
Virginia is the original inventor of Loowatt toilet system. Prior to starting Loowatt in 2010, she spent 7 years working with award-winning product and design companies including Dwell Magazine, and wrote for publications including Metropolis and The New York Times. Virginia holds a joint Masters in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Arts and Imperial College London and a BA from Stanford University in Comparative Literature. |
Mark BickerstaffeCHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
Directing Loowatt’s design and engineering teams and technology strategy. Mark forged research design and development leadership capability in the first 10 years of Dyson, inventive pioneers of the domestic appliance industry, followed by 15 years at Kohler Co. driving the design-led corporate culture of the leading global Kitchen & Bath company. |
Georges MikhaelChief Commercial Officer
With a focus on driving growth, Georges is leading Loowatt's commercial team. He has been supporting the design and scale up of innovative sanitation businesses internationally since 2010. |
Anthony BlaiklockFINANCe DIRECTOR
After 20 years working in corporate finance advising on acquisitions, IPOs, restructurings, fund raisings and disposals, Anthony took his first Finance Director role in an early stage renewable energy company. He then fulfilled the same role for three other early stage cleantech businesses before joining Loowatt. Anthony is a graduate of Cambridge University and a Chartered Accountant. |
Martin CarterHEAD OF DELIVERY
With a history of embedding foundations for scalable production, Martin is focused on optimising Loowatt’s supply and production processes. Drawing on a breadth of experience from both start-up and large companies Martin developed his holistic business exposure to Director level. Martin attended Loughborough University where he obtained a Bachelors in Materials Engineering. |
Bradely GodboldBusiness Development Manager
First joining as a Design engineer in 2018 through Loowatt’s placements scheme, Brad went on to complete his degree BA Industrial Design and Technology from Brunel University London, re-joining the team in 2019. Brad leads on business development in emerging markets, and provides strategic and operational implementation support project stakeholders. |
Sophia Khanmanagement accoutant
Sophia Khan is an qualified accountant with extensive experience in taking full ownership of several EMEA entities. She has worked with various international companies, including IDT Global and Wideorbit. Sophia graduated with a First Class degree in Accounting & Finance from UEL and is also Part Qualified ACCA Professional. |
Rupal ChavdaSUSTAINABILITY & IMPACT LEAD
Rupal has joined Loowatt through the On Purpose programme to drive accuracy and efficiency in impact measurement and reporting across Loowatt’s operations. Rupal’s previous experience covers accounting and commercial finance across multiple industries. Rupal graduated with a first class honours in Mathematics with Economics and has completed her ACA professional qualification. |
Anson MenMarketing manager
Anson joined Loowatt at the beginning of 2023 as Marketing Manager. She has extensive responsibility for building Loowatt's profile and reputation, supporting marketing objectives in South Africa and Madagascar. Before that, she spent nine years in the marketing industry in China, working with clients such as Qualcomm and Mercedes Benz, and in strategic marketing and account director roles with various other advertising agencies. After that, she received her Masters in Management from Cranfield School of Management in 2022. |
